The recent terror attacks in Mumbai has asked what can be the Indian response to such attacks.If you have a terror infrastructure in Pakistan no matter how much we spend on our security we will still not be able to stop the terror attack.Lets not forget that if the underwear or the shoe bomber decided to blow themselves up in a local Walmart or a GAP Store in New york instead of an airliner they probably would have succeeded. One has to understand Zaveri Bazaar etc are the softest of soft targets which is lets accept it almost impossible to stop.
Not to mention the fact that there are probably a lot of sleeper cells presently in India quietly waiting for their marching orders in the future years. India probably should invest in intelligence gathering so that there is ample actionable info to prevent such terror attacks as afar as possible but still the task looks ominous.So.India should also seriously consider to take offensive action against the terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Afghanistan to make a dent on the puppet masters and make it extremely difficult for them to formulate an attack rather than the freedom they enjoy right now. But Im also of the opinion that India should do this operation discreetly .We should do an operation on them in such a way that neither the Pakistanis nor the Media should have any idea about the operation. Such discreet attacks on the terrorists will probably help us in our fight against terror.
But i believe India has already been involved in such operations in the past.Maybe we should increase the frequency and the intensity with which we operate.
